This project on empowerment between the GDR-ANTS and AFRICARINTHIA NGO aims to improve the living conditions of vulnerable farmers by strengthening their economic autonomy, their ability to adapt to socio-economic and climate shocks, and their resilience to the challenges that affect their means of substance. It is particularly targeted at small producers, women, youth and low-income rural households.
Through the promotion of economic solidarity, the project will encourage the creation and strengthening of community savings and credit groups, agricultural cooperatives and other self-help mechanisms enabling beneficiaries to have easier access to financial resources, agricultural inputs, markets and training opportunities.
The project also provides training in sustainable agricultural techniques, income-generating activities, entrepreneurship and financial management. These actions will help increase agricultural productivity, diversify income resources and reduce household vulnerability to climate and economic hazards.
